The BOI New York Office successfully concluded an investment promotion mission in Washington D.C., held from November 18-20, 2025, led by Mrs. Cherdchan Arunrat, Director of the BOI New York Office.

The visit commenced on November 18, 2025, when Director Cherdchan paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the U.S., at the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington D.C., to mark her assumption of duties and meet with the heads of agencies that are part of Team Thailand’s economic team.

Ambassador Suriya and Director Cherdchan engaged in a productive discussion on the strategic plan for collaborative investment activities in the upcoming year. The Ambassador further highlighted the BOI's crucial role in promoting investment which is a "growth engine" of the Thai economy. The meeting concluded with concrete ideas to promote investment between Thailand and the US, in support of the Thai Government’s Quick Big Win policy for driving the national economy.

During 19-20 November, Director Cherdchan met with targeted U.S. companies, presenting them with investment opportunities, incentive promotions offered by the BOI, as well as updates on the latest measures and policies to assist their business planning and decision-making.

Director Cherdchan also engaged with the leadership of key business associations in Washington, D.C. to foster stronger collaboration. These include Mr. John Goyer, Executive Director, Southeast Asia at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce (USCC) and Mr. Marc Mealy, Executive Vice President of Research and Chief Policy Officer of the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC), both of whom are key partners in the Thai-US business partnership.
