On April 23, 2024, Mr. Nanthapol Sudbanthad, Director of the BOI New York Office, paid a visit to the aerospace parts producer facilities in Montreal. The company showcased its production line of machining and high-precision machinery, assembly line, surface treatment, and testing processes, including R&D in areas focused on client projects for GE Aviation and Pratt & Whitney Canada.
Director Nanthapol followed up on the company's investment project in Southeast Asia, building on their visit to Thailand last year. He shared comprehensive insights on the skill sets and workforce qualities available to support their businesses in Thailand, as well as the advantages and benefits of establishing facilities in the country.
After the company visit, Director Nanthapol held a meeting with the business alliance Investissement Québec, an agency dedicated to fostering economic development and investment in Québec. The discussions focused on mutual benefits and collaboration opportunities, including investment ventures, export prospects for Canadian companies, and the exploration of cutting-edge technologies in Canada, for potential investment in Thailand. Director Nanthapol highlighted the new investment strategies and incentives in target industries offered by the BOI, particularly in the EV sector. He emphasized the potential for Canadian companies to excel in battery materials and recycling for EV development, such as lithium and graphite, presenting significant opportunities to support EV car producers in Thailand. |
